This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes are being requested. In accordance with FAR 5.203(a) (2) this solicitation will be posted for less than fifteen (15) days.

Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-23-Q-0245. This requirement is being solicited as a sole source requirement to Optimax Systems Inc., a small business under NAICS code 333310, as concurred with by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333310. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 (one thousand) employees.

The basis for determining the Sole Source is that market research found that the exact combination of specifications required for these mirrors are only available from Optimax Systems Inc. In addition, Optimax Systems Inc. is the only company capable of achieving the specific surface roughness required due to a proprietary polishing process. Optimax only sells directly to consumers, there are no resellers.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement in the future. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase Optimax Systems Inc. mirrors, as detailed below, on a Firm Fixed Price basis.

For the purposes of quoting to this opportunity, the specifications required are:
