This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice will be posted for less than 15 days in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(2). Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-23-Q-0195.



The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport has a requirement for the purchase, delivery and installation of Herman Miller furniture in accordance with the attached Specifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 337214. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees.



Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award the following on a Firm Fixed Price, brand-name requirement for Herman Miller furniture.

Installation will also include a quantity of fifteen (15) pencil drawers, P/N: Y5010, and quantity of eight (8) B-Style Suspended Lateral Files, P/N: A3121. 16. 36 which will be provided by the Government as Government Furnished Material (GFM).



Installation must be in accordance with the Specifications and drawing 22-032A.



The Herman Miller brand is the only acceptable product to match in connectivity and selection of fabric colors to match the already installed product within the other half of B-1351 first floor. The product will also match many of the other installations within the other buildings throughout the base and what is located in our storage facility for ease of reconfiguration and style. It is in the best interest of the Government to procure Herman Miller furniture due to time and cost efficiencies as using another brand would require procuring entire assembly kits, components would not be readily available, and another brand would not integrate into the existing units. Herman Miller furniture is the only furniture that is compatible with currently installed furniture. This requirement must be provided through Herman Miller to make quick changes in furniture configuration that support continued office expansion, provide interchangeable work spaces, and utilize existing furniture stock throughout NUWCDIVNPT.



Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. In order to be determined technically acceptable; (1) the offeror must provide the required supplies and services in accordance with the above CLIN structure and specifications.; (2) the Government may consider past performance information in accordance with DFARS Provision 252.213-7000 where negative information within SPRS may render a quote being deemed technically unacceptable.
